Big Picture Scrapbooking

I just finished a terrific on line class called "Point of View" at Big Picture Scrapbooking taught by one of my favorite artists, Nic Howard. Now that school is so far behind me- I can clearly see how important it is to keep learning- never think you know enough. This class really focused on storytelling- which, as you all know, is very near and dear to me. I don't think of myself as a "scrapbooker" really. I'm more of a storyteller. Silly stories, sad stories, important and everyday ones. They have to be written so that when my voice is silent- they will play on.
Here is a page I made for an assignment that asked for a layout about you- from someone else's point of view. ;)

The dark side of Christmas....

here's a peek at the sad truth - taking the decorations down- the dark side of Christmas-
EEK!

How can it be that all that wonderfully magic stuff that makes our home so special on December 1- looks so SO sad on January 1? Even the pizza boy laughed when he peeked inside after delivering our meal (Cooking was just NOT on the radar this night!)

i LOVE santa!

Well, we made the "visit" today- to see Santa- and Liam was terrific with it all until it was actually time to sit on the Big Guy's lap. The best I could do was convince him to sit on the floor beside Santa-with Ryan's help of course. I figured this way- could get a shot of the Jolly Elf behind Liam and we could say "mission accomplished". What I NEVER expected is that when Liam bowed his head shyly, and sat on the floor in front on him- that Santa would get right down next to him and give him a BIG HUG! Liam was shocked-Ryan was too-the crowd all said "awwwwwww" and I got a little choked up.

Yes boys. there is a Santa.

We met him today.
